NUNO is honoring Children’s Day with a limited edition series of mini koi nobori (i.e. carp streamers). Each one-of-a-kind sculpture is hand made by textile artist Fumi Ito out of NUNO fabric remnants and comes with its own hinoki (Japanese cypress) stand. Koinobori are traditionally flown in Japan in the weeks leading up to May 5th in the hope that children will grow up healthy and strong. According to Japanese legend, the carp symbolizes the courage to achieve all goals.
